Convalescent Home for Children - 1927

A convalescent home for children built in Spremberg in 1927, which used latticework, was Konrad Wachsmann’s first large project for Christoph and Unmack. The most unique feature of this building is that its windows are mounted alternatively on the external and internal side one of the wall: this creates a rhythmic alternation between the surface of the façades and its openings.
