Wood - a living, breathing material
People prefer solid wood houses more and more these days because they come “straight from nature”, so to speak. A prefabricated timber home has additional advantages: extremely short construction times and manageable construction costs.
Wood is also a perfect material for a Low-Energy House. It is characterised by low thermal conductivity and has excellent properties of insulation. This results in reduced energy usage for heating in the winter, and a cool indoor climate in summer.
