Larch
The larch is the only conifer native to Europe that loses its needles in autumn. The tree has a long, straight trunk of up to 50 metres in length. Because it is a mountain tree, the wood is very solid, strong and durable – yet has high elasticity. Untreated larch wood develops a characteristic grey colour over time.
