Spruce
The spruce is a hardy, evergreen conifer that reaches an average height of 30 metres. The trunk reaches a maximum diameter of 2.5 metres. Straight, rapid growth and minimal requirements in terms of habitat make the spruce the mainstay of European forestry. The softness and versatility of spruce affords a very pleasurable living space. Spruce is also an excellent wood in terms of insulation and has an exceptionally long life.
