When the Trees Spoke to Us: The New Rubner World of Wood

The Rubner Haus Company and its products are presented in an exhibition setting, with the help of multimedia aids and sophisticated technology. The new Rubner Holzwelt (The Rubner World of Wood) also explains aspects of environmental conservation.

Many of the visitors to our Rubner headquarters in Chienes not only want to compare models and prices of the various timber and climate houses available, but are also interested in the story of this group of companies. It seemed logical to set up a multimedia exhibition in the new administration building of Rubner Haus AG that would give visitors an experience of the world of wood.

Visitors first encounter a wall of videos on which a range of different types of houses is shown, using various media. Stairs lead to the Rubner Holzwelt, or Rubner World of Wood, on the upper ground floor level. At the entrance to the exhibition, tree trunks have been positioned to prepare visitors for the theme of the exhibition and to focus their thoughts on the origins of every Rubner Timber Home. The route then leads past a historic sawmill owned by the family, documenting the remarkable path taken by this established South Tyrolean business “from the sawmill to the climate house”.
