The Blockhaus Construction Method

When building a log house, Rubner prefabricates the walls at the plant using solid wood or laminated spruce planks with tongue and groove, which are then stacked horizontally. The beams are cross-jointed at the corners with pier heads.

The insides of the exterior walls are clad with high-quality insulation made from green materials. Spruce wood mouldings are added, the wood is given a coat of environmentally friendly waterproofing and then it is finished with a weatherproofing sealant.

The wall is further outfitted during its assembly for installation of electricity, water and plumbing.
