Rubner Haus SpA, with more than 12.000 completed projects world-wide, recently obtained the OHSAS 18001 certification.
The OHSAS 18001 certification can be adopted by any organisation that wants to apply a formal procedure to reduce health and safety risks at the workplace for personnel, customers and the public in general.
In a competitive market, customers want more than good prices from their suppliers. Companies must show that they have an efficient and responsible sales management and that they can provide a reliable service without timeouts due to accidents or other causes at the workplace.
For RUBNER HAUS, declares Dr. Thomas Koler, CEO of Rubner Haus SpA, health and safety have always been frontline topics, inspiring both the exclusive use of ecological and healthy materials in production, such as wood, hemp fibre, wood fibre and cork, and also a particular sensitivity to the theme of safety at work and application of the highest standards to guarantee personnel health and safety.
“Certification has been a complex process for us, needing effective inclusion in the system of both our production facilities in Chienes and Sarentino, where they occupy in total six hectares”, explained Dr. Ing. Daniel Gasser, who is responsible for the integrated safety system and the Prevention and Protection Service.
“Another challenge was integrating into the system the more than 500 European construction sites we open every year in various European countries, from Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany to Spain and France”, he underlined.
Rubner Haus was able to create in a few months, in collaboration with “Quality Austria”, the basis for development of an integrated system for health and safety management.
So, RUBNER HAUS has successfully added the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification to its quality system certification ISO 9001:2008, and can now rely on an exceptionally efficient integrated management system.
